We believe that in a unique nation like India, our approach to quality education cannot be exclusive of systemic reforms and collective action. About the role
As a Program Manager, you will take the ownership of a state-wide education transformation program and shall be responsible for its end-to-end delivery. You’ll lead a 4-5 member team that anchors different projects/interventions within the program. While receiving requisite guidance from the program director, you are expected to contribute to different projects/interventions, closely work with senior government stakeholders, guide your team and drive their professional development. You’ll ensure that the program is on track w.r.t. its goals and intended impact while also taking up additional responsibilities within the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
The role demands skills that fall under multiple domains like people management, research & design, liaisoning, end-end implementation, and building partnerships. Typical responsibilities include
Lead Government Relations
- Lead the co-creation journey of education change programs with partners and Govt. officials (SPD, Secretary Education, Director SCERT) at the state level
- Co-create a strategic plan aligned to the scope and focus of the program with state priorities.
- Research and co-create solutions to address the needs of the education system and state priorities.
Lead Ecosystem Partnerships:
- Build strategic partnerships with various organizations and stakeholders, including NGOs, knowledge partners, design consultants, and other government agencies.
- Co-create a space for dialogues around education leadership, technology collective action (Shikshāgraha)
Lead Donor Engagement & Management
- Engage other key stakeholders like advisors and donors
- Support and mentor a team of 4-5 members in their responsibilities
Lead Research Monitoring Evaluation
- Analyze existing structures, processes and projects; devise plans to strengthen them.
- Articulate the objectives and theory of change and communicate effectively with the stakeholders about the program.
- Ensure different projects/interventions contribute meaningfully to the program by establishing effective monitoring and evaluation processes.
Experience and Competencies Required
- Must have a minimum of 8 years of work experience, preferably in working with Govt. stakeholders or in the education sector
- Great to have strong alignment with the cause of reforming Govt. education system.
- Must have experience in leading teams to achieve ambitious outcomes
- Must have awareness of the state-level initiatives towards education transformation in different parts of India is preferable
- Must have strong problem solving with an on-ground implementation lens
- Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with the officials and partners
- Must have an analytical and data - driven approach
- Must be ready to travel
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (English and Hindi)

Remuneration: An annual CTC of INR 11 Lakh onwards (depending on competency and experience)
