About Missing Millions Initiative


We are a small and passionate team. And the work we are doing is new. There are very few organizations that focus on vocational + educational programs for this specific age- group of youth. There are even fewer programs that are focused on providing support to build creative professional skills. This means that we are building and innovating on the go. As a team, we constantly come back to the drawing board to explore, tinker and adjust different aspects of the program. This also means that as a team member, your voice and your perspective are extremely important to us. There is a lot of room for wild and unconventional ideas and exploration. While the work might feel scrappy, you will find that there is a lot of space to find your own voice and style. We are constantly pushing each other to leverage this modularity and scrappiness and build strong learning experiences for the fellows. 



About the Aaroh Fellowship Program by Missing Millions 


Providing out-of-school adolescents with the opportunities and support they need to build a promising career path, across sectors. 

Missing Millions is a non-profit initiative under Mantra4Change, dedicated to empowering out-of-school children, who, due to various circumstances, cannot return to traditional education. We are driven by the fundamental belief that every child, regardless of their schooling status, deserves the right to a dignified and thriving life—socially, emotionally, and economically. 


At Missing Millions, we are committed to creating a fair chance for every young adult to unlock their potential and achieve their dreams.

The Aaroh fellowship is a 2 -year intensive program specially designed for out-of-school adolescents aged 14-17. 

The fellowship has been built to provide a cohort of 15- 20 adolescents with the guidance and support to pursue a successful career in the creative industries. This program will be critical in reducing the risks teenagers are vulnerable to, like financial exploitation and abuse. 

Through this program, fellows are guided into a world of creative exploration and problem-solving, where they will gain essential skills and mindsets, enabling them to turn their learning into earning. This includes technical hard skills and soft skills that will enable them to mold and choose their own professional journey, a choice that isn't usually available to them. Our goal is to build a platform where they feel safe and supported, and where they understand what it takes to thrive. 


About the role

As a lead facilitator, there are 2 top-level pieces you will be responsible for 

1. Leading the delivery of all creative and theoretical aspects of the program 

2. Working closely with the Missing Millions program team to study and strengthen aspects of the program. This will be done through regular feedback and innovating on facilitating tools and methods. 


The role requires a strong ability to empathize with the needs of the fellows and an appetite for innovation and exploration. You will play an extremely important role in shaping the program, and ensuring that it genuinely benefits the fellows. 


Roles and Responsibilities

a) Facilitating positive and inclusive learning and development for a diverse group of 10-15 fellows enrolled in the media course 

b) Planning and facilitating lessons aligned to our curriculum and framework

c) Enabling hands-on and project-based learning for fellows that equips them for practical work scenarios 

d) Regular assessments of fellows’ progress and performance 

e) Providing mentorship and guidance to support students' personal and interpersonal growth. 

f) Regular check-ins with the Program team to ensure overall programmatic objectives align with the needs of the cohort. 


Experience & Competencies Required

1. Must have previous experience in classroom or program facilitation, preferably with adolescents or youth-focused initiatives preferred

2. Must have a strong foundational understanding of the design and creative process 

3. Mindset and ability to innovate and adjust ideas on the go 

4. Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills. 

5. Empathy for self, work, and others 

6. Strong language skills in English and Tamil 

Previous experience in classroom or program facilitation, preferably with adolescents or youth-focused initiatives preferred


What you will get in this role: 

1. Deep understanding and experience in facilitating lessons and dialogue in technical creative concepts in a way that fellows relate to and understand. 

2. Regular training and support on how to implement and deliver the curriculum. This includes structured and unstructured dialogue on how to help you navigate any challenges you face in the learning space. 

3. Be heavily involved in building and innovating on new facilitation methods with the program team.

 4. The opportunity and freedom to explore and leverage your voice and style of delivering the program. 


Remuneration - An annual CTC onwards 4.2 LPA (depending on competency and experience)

Location: Bengaluru.
